on tuesday the 12th at 3 am i started having contractions...every 5 min. they only lasted about 30 seconds though. I cleaned the apartment and took a bath (alright fine I took like 3 of them) and at 930 called my mom to tell her about it. Then I called the birthing center to let them know and decided to laydown for a bit and get some rest. at 10:30 I layed down...at 10:31 my water broke.
I made the big announcement ( uh babe...my water broke)which was followed by a confermation (oh shit...seriously) and yet another phone call to the birthing center and the desision to go ahead and come on in.
2 hours later (what can I say we live 40 min away and my hubby had to do his hair...it was the nerves!lol)we arrived they cheacked me out and I was 5 centimeters (alright fine i was 4 and a half...but I like to round up.)
I labored on the labor ball and we walked for about an hour before I jumed in the birthing tub....where i stayed for another hour.
they checked me again and I was at 7 centimeters and fully effaced. My contractions were not bad I mean...I have felt worse during my period. I labored on the ball again for another good 40 min with hubby behind me giving me a back massage (which probablly helped...a lot!)
My midwife came in to see how I was doing and I told her I felt like I needed to push (ok actually my words were...I feel like talking a huge crap...but whateves)
Then I stood up and woosh...lots of stuff came out of my vag (not a baby though...thankfully)
I don't know how I eneded up on the bed...or ended up nekkid for that matter...all I know is that 20 min later I was holding my beautiful daughter in my arms and kissing my husbands tear staind face.
